In the past, friends often inquired about whether witnessing the birth of my child was the most incredible experience and if becoming a father had truly altered my life. Initially, I responded with 'NO' to both questions. However, upon reflection and in the present moment, my responses have transformed to a resounding 'YES'... When my daughter came into the world, she felt like a bit of a stranger to me.

When it came to the birth process itself, I was so focused on my wife that I didn’t really realize what was going on. When my little daughter arrived on this earth, she was kind of a stranger to me. I had always tried to connect with her throughout the pregnancy, but it was a totally different game when I saw her taking her first breath. It felt like I was 9 months behind my wife, who started connecting with our little daughter the moment she found out she was pregnant.

And YES, of course, my life has changed. The first couple of months my ego couldn’t really handle it – sometimes still today 😅 - the fact there is someone more important than me. Between being a parent, my relationship, my ego, me-time, and my friendships, I have challenges and beauty every day, and I’m so thankful for that. My daughter is the greatest gift in my life, and the more I can be fully present with her, day by day, the more I’m able to learn from her.
